AgriCommerce |
Educating agribusiness leaders to build on the country’s agribusiness successes, at home and abroad, is the goal of the Massey University AgriCommerce programmes.
The core skills needed by successful agribusiness firms are human/personal skills, creativity and innovation, vision and strategic thinking, problem solving and analysis, evaluating and accepting new technologies and institutional arrangements, and flourishing in a market which is diverse and segmented, with many niches. There is a strong demand for people with agribusiness knowledge and skills in New Zealand and overseas.
The AgriCommerce programmes at Massey University equip agribusiness leaders of tomorrow with the relevant skills for the future. They provide a strong grounding in agriculture and business and the opportunity to understand local and international agribusiness. The programmes will develop skills relevant to the management of agribusinesses throughout the value chain with a strong understanding of what it takes to be sustainable and competitive in global food and fibre markets.
